David R. Klingler

Executive Director of the Houston Extension, Assistant Professor of Old Testament Studies

Prior to coming to Dallas Theological Seminary, Dr. Klinger was an All-American quarterback at the University of Houston and first round NFL draft pick. In the summer after his rookie season in the NFL, David attended a summer Bible study where the teacher exhorted David to quit football and go to seminary. Ten years later, David has earned two degrees from DTS. Currently, he serves as Executive Director, DTS-Houston, and Assistant Professor of Old Testament Studies.
