B.S., Texas A & M-Commerce, 1983; M.A.C.E, Dallas Theological Seminary,1996; Ph.D., University of Georgia, 2007

Dr. Evetta Armstrong has a heart for both the local church and individuals without God. Jesus said the kingdom of God is like leaven in its permeating and transforming power upon the world. Dr. Armstrong believes this transformation can occur only when Christian Education equips the saints to do the work of the ministry. Consequently, she is dedicated to the scholarship of teaching and learning. She has extensive experience in adult education, church administration, and Christian higher education. Other interests include mentoring women, especially those in leadership; multicultural issues in the church; power relations in ministry; and qualitative research methodologies. She serves as adviser to women in the Doctor of Ministry program. In addition to teaching at DTS, Dr. Armstrong is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University - College Station.
