Dr. Ortiz moved to Dallas from Sarasota, Florida with his wife, Kathy, in November 2015, but they are not strangers to Dallas as they lived here while he was getting his ThM from DTS in 2008. They have two children: Michael and Alyssa. He and Kathy have been married for over 30 years and now attend Northwest Bible Church. He is Cuban American with a passion for theological education in the Hispanic Community. He has had extensive ministry in Cuba related to leadership development and contextualization within the Cuban setting. He is also a practicing attorney and enjoys cycling, fishing, and photography.
