25 International Pastors Attend Global Proclamation Academy
June 30, 2008
Last month's Global Proclamation Academy (GPA) event was a tremendous success as twenty-five leading pastors (around 35 years of age) from around the world, each from a different country in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe, worshiped the Lord and studied His Word together on the Dallas Theological Seminary campus. The Global Proclamation Academy—a training partnership between Dallas Theological Seminary and RREACH—provided each pastor who has demonstrated leadership excellence within their local church the opportunity to receive a rare gift: premier pastoral and theological training from thirteen master coaches in biblical spirituality, theological discernment, and effective proclamation.
Since the first meeting in 2005, the Global Proclamation Academy has graduated seventy-five pastors, which has impacted more than fifty countries worldwide. The GPA strengthens and connects the future leadership of the Christian faith for a lifetime of friendship and ministry. Each pastor is given specific tools, some of which include: specially designed curriculum taught by high-level master coaches, technology tools, an online communication portal to facilitate ongoing dialogue, and most of all—the encouragement of knowing they are valued as a person and as a pastor.
The Global Proclamation Academy’s vision and mission is “To fortify the future health of Christ’s Church in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe by strengthening and connecting the ministry of their young pastoral leaders.” Dallas Seminary president Dr. Mark Bailey said, “We are thrilled to partner with RREACH in support of the GPA. Part of our mission is to ‘build up the body of Christ worldwide.’ This is a strategic initiative with a global perspective to do just that.” The Global Proclamation Academy fits into the vision of RREACH and the passions of RREACH’s president, Dallas Seminary professor Dr. Ramesh Richard. RREACH undergirds a global proclamation ministry to change the way one billion individuals think and hear about the Lord Jesus with a strategic burden for evangelizing opinion leaders and strengthening pastoral leaders of developing economies.
