DTS Expands Its Facilities

Dallas Seminary recently broke ground on a new housing facility for single men and women. It is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2008.

New Building Facts

• 117,493 sq/ft
• 7 stories
• 158 beds
• 89 living units and 2 guest rooms
• Private bath in all bedrooms
• Housing Office located on first floor
• Study rooms with computer lab
• Small group meeting/study rooms
• Community room with TV lounge, music practice rooms, game area, and community kitchen
• Full kitchens in each apartment
• Indoor half-court basketball court
• Swimming pool
• Wireless internet access in public areas
• Open air atrium on upper floors

In addition to this new facility, the Facilities and Plant Operations department has undertaken several campus remodeling projects for the purpose of fostering better communication between departments and better community among students.

Mitchell Ministry Center Remodel

• President’s Room relocated and expanded
• New Starbuck’s coffee and custard stand
• Coffee house furniture and atmosphere
• New deli area
• New pizza station
• Wireless internet access

Walvoord Student Center Remodel

• Remodel of office areas on all three floors to accommodate department relocations
• Dallas Seminary Foundation moves to the first floor
• Alumni & Church Relations moves to the second floor to join Admissions and the Registrar’s Office
