Lindsey Bridges

My husband Brad (ThM 08) and I (MA/CE 06) are currently in the process of building a team of people committed to partnering with us in prayer, service, and finances in preparation for full-time missions. We’ll receive training and mentoring in church-planting in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 2009. Starting in 2010, we'll launch out with a church planting team into Southern Spain with CAM International. We’re excited about engaging with people in our ministry of partnership development as we facilitate their involvement in missions by not only seeing and learning but by taking part in God’s redemptive plan for the people of Spain/Uruguay! While we were both full-time DTSers, we had a blast with our "dualing laptops" in our his and her La-Z-Boys as we wrote our papers for class. I enjoyed serving with Team Admissions at the Seminary. Spiritual Formation groups convicted and encouraged us while also giving us friends for life. Fellowship with students in Swiss Tower, professors, and our church family also top the list. Fond memories also include the new Starbucks near campus, a repaved Swiss Ave and Live Oak during our last week at the Seminary, the new singles building, Dr. P’s 90th birthday, and practicing baptisms in the Swiss Tower pool.
DTS taught us how to learn, how to study, and how to interpret the Bible. We don’t know everything about the Bible, but DTS laid the foundation for a lifelong process of knowing and growing as we seek to serve and love others well.
