Charlotte Moore (M.A./CM) Missionary to South Africa - I had been on short-term mission trips and already knew God was calling me to Africa when He called me to go to Dallas. The M.A./Cross-Cultural program was a perfect fit as I prepared for ministering in a country with numerous different cultures!

I loved everything about my time at Dallas!!! The Bible came alive for me there and the professors were a great encouragement to me (some still are)!! I also really enjoyed the annual World Evangelization Conference and being able to be a part of the planning for the children's program (combining my two great loves, kids and the world)!

Since I serve in a country with 11 "official" languages and even more cultural groups (South Africa) and occasionally travel to neighboring countries to minister (Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia, Swaziland), effective communication is one of the greatest challenges. My studies at Dallas really helped me to understand how to communicate across cultural lines.
