Current Th.M. Students

Stowe Campbell (Th.M. student) - I chose to pursue the Th.M. because I have a strong desire to witness to atheists, agnostics, and the liberal church in the Pacific Northwest. This degree allows me to concentrate on certain topics such as other religions and theology so that I can better communicate the Gospel to those who believe they have no need for it.

Darren Sapp (Th.M. student) - I chose to study the Th.M. with the ultimate goal of teaching church history at the university or seminary level. For years, my educational goals have always been in regards to what will make me the most money. Now, my goals are to pursue my passions and gifts that God has given me to serve and glorify Him. I love the classes, the interaction with the students, and the devotion of the facutly. There is no question that I am receiving not only a quality education, but a godly one as well. I am confident that upon completion of this degree, I will be prepared to serve God according to my calling.

Toe Set (Th.M. student) - I am pursuing the Th.M./BE track. I wanted to know and be able to handle God's word accurately and with confidence. There is a great need in Asia for sound conservative evangelical Bible teaching. I have enjoyed my time at DTS thoroughly and I am greatly indebted to all my teachers.

Kyle Callaway (Th.M. student) - I chose the Th.M. because of the many ways one can use this degree upon graduation. Its well-roundedness has allowed me to choose from a variety of ministry tracts and emphases for ministry in multiple contexts. Perhaps one of the strongest aspects of the Th.M. is the emphasis placed on Bible exposition. Being able to study each book of the Bible and the original languages had been enjoyable and necessary for future pursuits.

Bryan Carter (Th.M. student) - I chose this degree because I felt it would give me the ministry tools for serving in pastoral ministry.

I have enjoyed the relationships with the professors most of all. They have helped me gain biblical knowledge and life direction. In addition, I have also developed some great relationships with my peers in ministry. This degree plan is so comprehensive that there seems to be little left out. Everything is included. There is great variety with intentionality.

The Th.M. is preparing me even as I serve in ministry right now. The tools I receive in my coursework apply directly to ministry in a number of ways. I am learning leadership skills and developing my preaching and teaching gifts, which are essential for being effective in ministry service. But most importantly, I am learning how to develop my personal relationship with God, the foundation for all ministry service. I am extremely grateful to Dallas Seminary.
