Education Options

Residential Campuses

The Dallas and Houston campuses have resident faculty and offer DTS's flagship program, the four year Master of Theology (Th.M.). The Houston campus also offers the M.A./CE degree, and the Dallas campus offers the full array of Th.M., M.A., and doctoral programs.

Distance Learning

Students can also earn degrees through distance learning by completing half of their courses online or at an extension site and the other half through 1-2 week intensives classes in Dallas or Houston in the summer or winter semester.

Master of Theology (Th.M.)

Residential Requirements:
60 hours at Dallas or Houston
Distance Hours:
60 hours online or at an extension (up to 30 hours online)
 

M.A. in Biblical Counseling (90 hours)

Residential Requirements:
45 hours at Dallas
Distance Hours:
45 hours online or at an extension (up to 30 hours online)
 

M.A. in Biblical Exegesis and Linguistics (62 hours)

Residential Requirements:
30 hours at Dallas (DTS and GIAL campuses)
Distance Hours:
32 hours online or at an extension (up to 30 hours online)
 

M.A. in Christian Education (65 hours)

Residential Requirements:
30 hours at Dallas or Houston (1-3 week summer/winter intensives)
Distance Hours:
35 hours online or at an extension (up to 30 hours online)
 

M.A. in Cross-cultural Ministry (64 hours)

Residential Requirements:
30 hours at Dallas (1-3 week summer/winter intensives)
Distance Hours:
34 hours online or at an extension (up to 30 hours online)
 

M.A. in Media and Communication (67 hours)

30 hours at Dallas

The C.G.S. has no residency requirments. It may be completed fully online or any campus or extension site.
