Online Education: Assignments

Just like in any on-campus class, you will complete written assignments on a schedule set by the professor. Instead of handing in assignments, you will post your project on my.dts.edu. Your Microsoft Word formatted document will be uploaded into a secure area of our online education website. It will be graded and evaluated as you would expect. Your assignment will be converted into Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format), and your grader's notes will be attached to the document. You will see highlighted words and annotations in easy-to-read comment boxes.

Many of these assignments will also be reviewed by a group of your peers, in the same class. Your assignment will create a “thread” on our discussion forum in which your classmates will interact with your work. They will offer feedback, questions, and comments. This academic discussion is a requirement of most course assignments, and a portion of each student’s grade will reflect the academic quality of the feedback that they gave others.
