DTS welcomes the entering class of Spring 2010 by inviting you to participate in the activities of Entering Student Orientation! This will be an important time where you take your first step in becoming acquainted with seminary life and transition to being here on our campus. Below you will find a brief overview of the Orientation activities. (Note: you should have already received an email containing this information. If you have not received it, please contact DTS Admissions at 1-800-DTS-WORD or 214-841-3661).

- We have designed this one day orientation to give you an overview of seminary life and the resources that are available to assist you. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for those who RSVP. Spouses are invited. Limited childcare will be provided with a reservation.

All entering students (with the exception of Nondegree, CGS, PhD, DMin, and Online-Only Students) will be required to take the MMPI-2 (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2) on January 8, 2010. No RSVP required.

A limited number of makeup dates will be announced in the Kerygma for students who have evening-only and/or weekend-only classes and for those with work conflicts. If a student does not attend any of the makeup dates, it is the student's responsibility to seek an outside testing service (at the student's own expense - minimum $100) to take the MMPI-2.

*The MMPI is the only test you must take at the specific time that we offer it. The other assessments and deadlines can be found online on your campusnet under "News and Information." In the bulleted list there you will find a checklist of requirements for new entering students.
