As a student, you will have many opportunities for personal
interaction and growth—in class, in chapel, in prayer and in
fellowship—that will help you develop a passion for God and ministry.
Chapel
Dallas
Seminary provides chapel services for students each morning Tuesday
through Friday during the fall and spring semesters and each Wednesday
morning during Summer School. Chapel services feature worship, as well
as messages by members of the faculty and other Christian leaders.
Friday Forums provide an opportunity for dialogue on critical current
issues with an open-forum discussion between faculty, students, and/or
visiting leaders from the Christian community.
Days of Prayer
Students
and faculty come together several days each semester for special times
of prayer in chapel and throughout the day in classes.
Day of Evangelism
Periodically
a day of evangelism is planned during which students gather in small
groups to share the gospel in surrounding communities.
Spiritual Formation
Spiritual
Formation groups of six to eight students (required of Th.M. students,
an elective in other programs) can significantly impact a student’s
life while at the Seminary. In addition to academic credit, these
groups provide an environment for prayer, fellowship, ministry. As
group members grow in character and spiritual maturity together,
significant friendships and ministry partnerships are established
that often last a lifetime.
