Chinese Enrollment Advisor
I am glad you are considering DTS as you desire to be equipped for future service for Him through seminary training. I personally have been blessed and enriched by what this school has to offer. Not only did I find sound and comprehensive Bible, theology and professional training, but also professors who care about your heart and soul, and would pour theirs out to you. I also found leaders and a staff body who desire to glorify God and serve students through every decision they make and every task that they are given in prayer and love. I have also met godly friends who have significant impact on my life. I definitely fell for this love- and grace-filled community! DTS is a school that exemplifies excellence, grace and faith.
Being Chinese myself, I am very thrilled that DTS is offering the online courses to Chinese speakers around the world. I am privileged to serve Chinese brothers and sisters worldwide in this learning experience by assisting them through their admissions and registration processes. You are welcome to contact me regarding my seminary experience or about the Online Chinese program.
What are your hobbies or outside interests?
Swimming, cooking, card/board games, singing, spending quality time with my husband, family and friends, traveling, camping, learning new cultures and languages.
What made you decide to go to DTS?
My friends told me that it’s a great school (and it is!). And because I would be able to study every book of the Bible.
What do you do on your day off?
Sleep in, spend time with my hubby, watch movies, go to the gym, clean.
What are your favorite foods?
Sushi and sashimi, fresh fruit/vegetable salads, Cantonese soups and barbeque, most Asian noodle soups, Kobe steak, cheese, freshly baked breads, various Shanghai dumplings, Hong Kong style milk tea with egg tarts (yum!!!). And because I am Chinese, I like foods that don’t mix well with the average American palette, so I will refrain from completing my list here!
What is the best part about working in the DTS admissions office?
That I get to experience the love our team has for God and people and the unity and team spirit in serving one another.
What is your favorite piece of literature?
Missionary biographies.
What is your favorite musical artist/group/genre of music?
Bossanova, hymns, big band, J. S. Bach, jazz, acapella, cello, French horn, musicals…
What was your major in college?
Communication studies (known as the “football player major” in my school, no offense to you football players out there, can’t you tell that I am one of you?!)
Who is the person you admire most and why?
My husband Casey, because he knows me well, but loves me just the same. He models Christ’s love for the church to me.
Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
Peter, because I can identify with his weakness and I admire his passion. A person who “made so many mistakes”, denied his Lord three times, yet became the main leader in the early church – speaks volumes to me of God’s love, grace and life-changing power.
If you could have superhero powers, what would they be?
Teleporting.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Somewhere that has fall/spring weather all times with mid-level humidity, mountains and water around.
