2K 4 2K: Praying Today for Tomorrow's Leaders
The 2K 4 2K ministry is an opportunity to encourage and pray for a specific student throughout their time at DTS. As a DTS alumnus, you know the challenges and opportunities students encounter. Through your prayers, you help prepare servants who will lead for a lifetime of ministry.
We started in August 2008 with the fall incoming class. Our goal is to have 2000 alumni (2K) praying for (4) 2000 students (2K). Almost 1,000 alumni have already signed up to pray.
How does it work?
- Alumni pray for a specific student throughout their entire program at DTS.
- Alumni receive monthly communication regarding campus events to focus their prayers.
- Because of privacy issues alumni are only provided with the student's name and program.
- A student's email is also provided if the student has given their permission.
- Students are told they are being prayed for but alumni remain anonymous unless they wish to contact students directly through email. (The Alumni Office is happy to contact students for permission to share their email).
- Alumni are welcome to pray for more than one student.
