Texas-Style BBQ and ReceptionFriday, May 9, 5:30 7:30 PM

Tickets can be requested online using the Ticket Request Form until April 28. After that, tickets will be available through the Registrar's office during the week of May 69.

  1. The come-and-go BBQ will be held on campus. No program is planned. The BBQ is designed to give graduates and their families an opportunity to visit with one another and meet the faculty and staff. Games, a petting zoo, pony rides, and other activities will be available for children. Also, Chaplain Bill Bryan and his Dixie River Rats Band will be playing during the evening.
  2. Tickets will be required to eat, so remember to bring them with you. This is a true Texas barbecue with all the fixin’s.  Each graduate will receive four free tickets. Additional tickets are $13 each. Tickets for children 5 and under are free but still required. Tickets may be requested online using the Ticket Request Form until April 28, and then through the Registrar's office during the week of May 69. BBQ tickets can be picked up and paid for when regalia is picked up on campus.
  3. Dress is informal and western attire is encouraged. A picnic atmosphere is planned so feel free to bring blankets to sit on the lawn. Limited table seating will be provided under the “big top.” In the event of rain, we will open up Mabee Lounge in the Student Center , as well as Mitchell Ministry Center.
  4. Because of the large number of graduates and families expected, it will be helpful and appreciated if you and your family could go through the serving lines according to the following schedule. This will help us accommodate everyone as quickly as possible through the serving lines.
