Chaplain’s Office

DTS chapel services are essential to seminary life. These times allow our community to focus on the triune God, rehearse our mission, and embody our core institutional values as we make disciples of Jesus Christ.

To ensure that all DTS family members can participate in chapel, all campus activities on the Dallas campus stop. Departments close, and classes pause to allow the community to unite around this unique time of biblical instruction, corporate worship, and Christian fellowship. Masters-level students, staff, and faculty are expected to attend chapel on the Dallas campus or occasional chapel services on the Houston and Washington, DC, campuses. When attending in person is impossible, DTS provides a chapel live stream and collection of recordings so all may participate.

We aim to offer biblically-based and ministry-relevant chapel services demonstrating this activity as vital to spiritual formation and ministry preparation. To encourage chapel engagement, we ask masters-level students to confirm their chapel participation in Canvas at the end of each semester.
