Through the study of Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, especially their divisive flaws and his unifying values, students will explore implications for contemporary church life. (Daniel Chin)

0152 Old Testament Prophets
Through a survey of the Old Testament prophets, students will develop a framework for reading prophetic literature and will discover how God's holiness and justice affects them today. (Nicholas Hsieh)

0259 Epistle of James
Through the study of this general epistle, the student will discover how to become effective "doers of the Word." (Jace Cloud)

Tuesdays, September 15–November 17

6:45–8:00 p.m.

1000 Bible Study Methods
Practicing the three main steps of inductive Bible study—observation, interpretation, and application—the student will acquire skills for better understanding the Scriptures. (Ben Mogos)

1015 Advanced Bible Study Methods
By constructing subject-complement summaries of biblical passages, students will demonstrate their advanced understanding of the Scriptures. (Lisa Casimir)

4170 Post-Christian Evangelism
Through an evaluation of contemporary, American, post-Christian worldviews, the student will consider solutions for presenting and defending the Gospel. (Sam Tannenbaum)

8:15–9:30 p.m.

0268 Sermon on the Mount
Through a survey of interpretations for the Sermon on the Mount, students will enrich their understanding of Christ's great sermon and better apply His teaching to their lives. (Richard Carman)

4510 The Life of King David
By studying the life of David in the books of the prophet Samuel, students will discover ways to become people "after God's own heart." (Brent Boli)

  • Tuition is $30 per course.
  • Registration begins August 4 and ends the start of the second day of each class.
  • Register online at www.dts.edu/cbs.
  • All courses meet in the Campbell Academic Center.
  • After 5:00 p.m., students may park free in any well-lighted parking lot on Apple Street.
  • Campus Police require parking permits. Pick-up your permit the first day of class from the registration table or from the Police Kiosk and display it in the dash of your car each evening of the course.
