When does CBS post each semester’s course schedule? When can I register?

CBS posts course schedules and opens registration for each semester as follows:

• Fall: August 4
• Spring: January 1
• Summer: May 1

CBS also mails a post card and forwards an e-mail to remind continuing students that registration is open and to go to www.dts.edu/cbs for the current course schedule. Students may call the CBS office (214-841-3779) and request a course schedule delivered via mail or fax.

How much will I pay for a CBS course?

All CBS courses are $30. Saturday seminars include continental breakfast and lunch for the same price.

How can I register for the courses?

You can register for courses as follows:

• To register ONLINE with a credit or debit card, go to www.dts.edu/cbs and complete the online form.
• To register by MAIL, send your registration form and check to:

  Make checks payable to “DTS.”

• To register IN-PERSON at the Hendricks Center for Christian Leadership, Suite 205 (HCCL 205), call 214-841-3779 to schedule an appointment to meet with the Director between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
• To register by FAX, send your registration form to 214-841-3534.

Registration Form

When is the latest that I can register?

You can register as late as the second week of the course. To register after the first day of class, go to the classroom and submit your completed registration form and payment to the instructor. Call the CBS office at 214-841-3779 for classroom information.

Where will my class meet?

CBS classes meet in the Campbell Academic Center of Dallas Theological Seminary. Follow the signs from any Apple Street parking lot (near the DTS Campus Police Kiosk and Turpin Library).

How much are the textbooks?

Textbooks for CBS are less than $25 per course. Students may purchase their textbooks the first evening of class at the DTS Book Center located in the Mitchell Ministry Center on the northeast corner of Apple Street and Swiss Avenue.

Does CBS require homework?

Homework and extra-curricular assignments are optional.

Students may request course assignments from the instructor. If the student wishes to earn a grade for the course, the instructor will provide a Syllabus Supplement, which describes assignments and assessments to evaluate the student’s progress in the course. Instructors will require a homework load of less than 2 hours per week.

Will I receive confirmation that you received my registration form and payment?

Online registrations receive an automated e-mail confirming your registration. Otherwise, please call the CBS office (214-841-3779) for confirmation.

How do I request a transcript of CBS courses on my record?

Download, complete and sign the CBS Transcript Request Form, and either mail it or FAX it to the Director.
