Change is a Like a Slinky—Dr. Hans Finzel

Research indicates that 70% of planned organizational change fails both in business and in churches. Factors that fuel such failure include rear, resistance, and resentment from people who want to maintain the status quo. However, according to internationally-known leadership expert, John Maxwell, “Today’s motto for leadership is ‘change or perish’. Yet, without a plan and careful guidance, the journey of change can be a treacherous one.”

This conference is designed as a road map to help leaders and members of organizations discover how change can be an ally, not an enemy, in a world where the pace of change is constantly speeding up, and at this pace, change can seem a lot like a Slinky. A Slinky can be great fun, but it is also unpredictable. Just like a Slinky’s endless metal loop, change goes in cycles. Some cycles are minor and predictable, while others are large and can do great damage if poorly managed. About the Author
Dr. Hans Finzel is the CEO of WorldVenture (formerly CBInternational), based in Littleton, CO. Hans and his wife, Donna, spent ten years in Vienna, Austria, working throughout Easter Europe to train pastors behind the Iron Curtain in a Biblical Education by Extension ministry. Hans is a graduate of Columbia International University, Dallas Seminary, and Fuller School of Intercultural Studies.
