Winter/Summer Food Info

Welcome to Dallas Theological Seminary’s Food Court. It is a pleasure to provide this service to you and the campus. Our hope is to ensure that your dining experience is as pleasurable and convenient as possible.

In order to protect the integrity of all of our customers’ accounts and the effectiveness of our service, residence hall students are asked to comply with the following policies and procedures.

DTS Dining Services Card

All residence hall students will be using their DTS Student ID to purchase meals and other food related items in the Dining Commons. Your Student ID card is issued by the Registrar's Office located on the 2nd Floor of Walvoord Student Center. It is the responsibility of each resident to have this card with them for every meal. The cashier needs this card in order to accurately access your account and charge your meals. To avoid past problems with customer accounts, this policy will be strictly enforced. Also, no other person(s) is permitted to use your ID card to purchase meals. You may purchase meals for another person(s), however you must be present at the register at the time of purchase.

DTS Dining Services Meal Program

Meal Allowance

Each residence hall student is given a meal allowance of $73.00 per week. This amount is credited to each student’s DTS Dining Services account in the Food Court’s computer system. The dollar amount of your food purchases will be subtracted from this amount. Your balance will begin at $73.00 and working down to $0.00. You may use your DTS Dining Services account at any time during the day for any purpose. Any balance that remains on your account at the end of the week is non-refundable.

Allowable Food/Drink Purchases

There are menus posted throughout the Food Court and the individual prices of most food/drink items are specifically marked. Residence hall students are permitted to purchase any food or drink item that is for sale in the Food Court. It is important that each student keep track of his/her account balance. The Food Court is not responsible for accounts that have insufficient funds. Unused balances my not be refunded or rolled forward. So please spend your money judiciously.

Large Bulk Purchases

In order to ensure an adequate inventory of food/drink items, the purchase of whole cases of items is not permitted.

Guest Use of Residence Hall Student’s DTS Dining Services Account

Residence hall students are permitted to charge guest meals to their DTS Dining Services account. However, in order for individuals to eat on your account you must be present with them in line at the time of purchase. Please do not embarrass your guests by sending them through the line without you.
