Evaluations by Entering Students

Entering Student Doctrinal Survey (ESDS)

The ESDS asks entering students to give feedback anonymously on the Dallas Theological Seminary doctrinal statement. While students are required to believe and adhere to seven core doctrines, the ESDS asks students to review the full DTS doctrinal statement and respond with what articles they agree with and what articles they are unsure about or have disagreement.

The ESQ is administered by the Association of Theological Schools. It asks entering students about how they came to Dallas Theological Seminary and what experience they have had with DTS offices and publicity.

Adult Student Priorities Survey (ASPS)

The ASPS is administered through Noel-Levitz. It asks students to rate both importance and satisfaction with academic programs, departments and services. The ASPS allows us to compare our institution with national benchmark data.

Evaluations by Faculty and Staff

Institutional Priorities Survey (IPS)

The IPS is administered through Noel-Levitz. It asks faculty and staff to rate both importance and perceived student satisfaction with academic programs, departments and services. Utilization of this survey along with the ASPS allows us to find areas of agreement and disagreement between students’s perception and faculty and staff’s.

Organizational Effectiveness Survey (OES)

The Organizational Effectiveness Survey assesses features that are of concern to quality institutions like DTS. It asks faculty and staff to rate how DTS is doing in various areas of its organization.

Five-Year-Out Alumni Survey

This survey asks alumni to describe their seminary experience and characterize their professional position. The survey presents a number of possible outcomes of seminary study and asks alumni to evaluate the amount of training you received toward these outcomes during their DTS years.

This survey asks alumni about their seminary experience and characterize their professional position. The survey presents a number of possible outcomes of seminary study and asks alumni when they believe are the appropriate time to achieve the outcomes they have used in their ministry and life.
