Registration

For detailed information on registration, please see the current Registration Packet. For an overview of some basic information, please read on.

Registration Calendar & Deadlines

Registration for summer and fall is usually held in March, while registration for winter and spring is usually held in October. Please check CampusNet for current information and upcoming deadlines for both registration and payment.

Registration Procedures

You can find your registration start time and date in CampusNet. Be sure to select the appropriate session and year and choose “Register for Classes” in the sidebar.

Registration for Online Courses

Prior to registering for your first online course you must be approved through CampusNet. In the first semester that you take an online course, you may enroll in a single online course, and CGS and Non-degree students may enroll in two online courses. If you wish to register for online courses beyond these maximums and you have never taken a DTS online course before, you must get approval prior to registration. A cumulative maximum of 30 credit hours may be taken in the online format.

Registration Changes

Schedule changes can be made online at no charge prior to the payment deadline. After the payment deadline, there will be a $10 schedule change fee assessed for each course dropped. The fee will be waived for added courses. Courses dropped after they have started will be subject to the tuition refund schedule as posted in the Student Handbook. For any questions regarding your account, please contact the Business Office at 214-841-3632 or email Sara Rosenbeck.

Students Not Planning to Attend Classes During the Semester

In order to retain your $150 general deposit on your account, a leave-of-absence form needs to be completed and returned to the Registrar's Office in lieu of your registration as soon as you know you will not be attending classes.

Payment Procedures

Tuition statements are available on your CampusNet student webpage. If you change your course registration, please check the account the following day. You may choose to pay by check, TMS, or credit card (either online or by fax). Full payment must be received (not postmarked) by the payment deadline. For any questions regarding your account, please contact the Business Office at 214-841-3632 or email Sara Rosenbeck.

TMS Registration

Tuition Management Systems offers payment plans available to all students. For further information, or to sign up for TMS, please go to their website at www.afford.com or call TMS at 1-800-722-4867.
