Spotlight: Orientation Volunteers Needed

Plans are underway for Fall new student orientation on Thursday, August 20, 2009. The student services office is in need of several students who would be willing to help out the day of orientation. Any amount of time you might have to give would be appreciated. Volunteers are needed between 7:30am and 3:30pm.
If you are available and willing to serve the new students coming to DTS in this way, please email Abby Lawrence (alawrence@dts.edu) with your name, phone number, and the hours you are available on August 20.

Spotlight: Fall 2009 Graduation Application Deadline

Graduation Applications for Fall 2009 are available online under Forms and Information, in CampusNet. If you are planning to graduate in Fall 2009, your completed application is due August 1, 2009. You will be eligible to participate in the Spring 2010 commencement ceremony.

NOTE: that your graduation application is not complete until any/all church verification letters have been received. After August 1, 2009, graduation dates for those students with incomplete applications will be moved to a later session. General Info: Acts 18 Needs Seminary Wives Assistance!

Attention Wives! We Need Your Help! Acts 18 is a ministry of SWIM that pairs up current seminary wives with new seminary wives to help with the transition to Dallas Theological Seminary and Dallas, Texas. We desire to welcome new wives and their families to the DTS community. Your responsibility as a current wife would be: 1. Pray for your new wife and her family. 2. Call or make contact with her once a month. 3. Invite her to meet you at a SWIM event. If you would like to help a new wife as she relocates and adjusts to new surroundings, please forward your name and email address to swim@dts.edu.

Incoming student for Fall 2009 is moving here over the Summer but needs a fellow student to accompany him during his July visit in learning the Dallas transportation system (DART, etc). The student is in a wheelchair and would require some light personal assistance. Please contact Jenny McGill (jmcgill@dts.edu; 214-874-4447) if you are interested. Only a few hours would be needed.
