A Word Diet

Fat tastes so good. It’s just not good for you! Guess what? My tongue doesn’t care. William Norris advises us regarding the fatty words we let slide across our tongues. “If your lips you would keep from slips, five things observe with care: To whom you speak; of whom you speak; and how, and when, and where.” Psalms 141:3, 4: “Oh, LORD, place a guard on my mouth! Protect the opening of my lips! Do not let me have evil desires, or participate in sinful activities with men who behave wickedly. I will not eat their delicacies.” What do you say? Let’s go on a word diet.
