Access to the Word
Five hundred years ago, books were so rare that the bishop of Winchester, England, whose library consisted of seventeen books, had to provide a solemn bond that he would return—unharmed—a Bible from the convent of St. Swithin. Today anyone with access to a computer can download the NET Bible and study aids for free. And that availability should make a difference in our living. “Praise the LORD! How happy is the one who obeys the LORD, who takes great delight in keeping his commands.” (Ps. 112:1) Thank God today for access to His word, and ask Him to help you obey it.
