Elusive Contentment

I think men in particular have a problem with lusting after women, cars, fancier homes, better jobs, more money – you name it: whatever we don’t have that’s attractive, we want. Then, once we get the thing we’ve lusted after, we immediately start to tire of it and begin lusting after something new. “You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask; you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your passions.” (James 4:2) Today, ask God to make you content with what you have.
