Great Expectations

When I think of Jesus as an infant, I often make the mistake of imagining God to be just that small, and that I should expect no more of him than I would of a baby in a crib. William Carey, the great missionary to India, reminds me in a sermon he preached in 1792, that we should “Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God.” Ps. 145:3; Philippians 4:13 – “The LORD is great and certainly worthy of praise! No one can fathom his greatness! I am able to do all things through the one who strengthens me.” Today, give your biggest dream to God. And watch Him work.
