Francisco Pizarro, the great Spanish explorer, was nearly illiterate when he conquered the vast empire of the Incas – and with only one hundred six foot soldiers and sixty-two worn out horses. How did he do it? Gunpowder. The victory doesn’t always to the army with the most soldiers, but to the soldiers with the greater power. “A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory is from the LORD.” (Prov. 21:31) What battle are you facing today? Are the forces aligned against you so that you feel overwhelmed? Remember to depend on the Lord and his power for your victory.
