English poet Thomas Chatterton died at seventeen. Mozart died at thirty-six. The late nineteenth-century painter Aubrey Beardsley died at twenty-six. The great Raphael died at thirty-seven, and the painter Masaccio died at twenty-seven. Each man possessed unique talents, and wonderful gifts for creating beauty in many forms. But their gifts did not guarantee them a long life. “Since man’s days are determined, the number of his months is under your control; you have set his limit and he cannot pass it.” (Job 14:5) Each day is a gift from God. Invest wisely the gift of today. (Speaker Disclaimer)
