Living in the Moment
Multitasking is in, but it can turn us into impersonal, dispassionate robots if we aren’t careful. I heard a piece of sage advice once from a man who had noticed how distracted I was during our conversation. “Son,” he said, “wherever you are, be all there. Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaven is on earth.” Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you are doing, work at it with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not for people.” We all need to live in the moment before it passes us by.
