Marriage in the Movies

It’s hard to find good models for marriage in the movies. The English Patient is the story of an adulterous relationship between a dashing count and the wife of his colleague. It received twelve Oscar nominations, including best picture. “A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks wisdom, whoever does it destroys his own life.” (Proverbs 6:32) As Dr. Frank Pittman, author of Private Lies: Infidelity and the Betrayal of Intimacy, says, "The infidelity is not in the sex, necessarily, but in the secrecy. It isn't whom you lie with. It's whom you lie to." Don’t cheat.
