Preserve and Prepare

Consistent, loving discipline doesn’t just preserve our children from harm, it prepares them for leadership. Ben Franklin understood the importance of such discipline. He said, "He that cannot obey, cannot command." If I want my children to accept my discipline because I love them, how much more should I accept God’s discipline as His son? “My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline or give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves and chastises every son he accepts.” (Hebrews 12:5, 6) Don’t despise God’s discipline. Embrace it, and lead. (Speaker Disclaimer)
