Jonathan Edwards resolved to obey God’s greatest commandments early on: “Resolved: That I will do whatsoever I think to be most to God’s glory, and my own good, profit and pleasure, in the whole of my duration. Resolved, to do whatever I think to be my duty, and most for the good and advantage of mankind in general.” Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matt. 22:37 – 39) Show God’s love to your neighbor today.
