My dad had a landlady once who cooked healthy meals for her boarders, only the food was so bland. But just try reaching for the salt: “What?” she would whine “Is there something wrong?” By refusing to season her food, she made it unpalatable for everyone. “Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunities. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone.” (Colossians 4:5, 6) Bland words satisfy no one. How can you season your speech today with grace?
