Sermons in the Fields
John Bunyan didn’t have a pulpit, but he didn’t let that stop him. He was so excited about his newfound faith that he felt compelled to preach wherever he could gain an audience. So he started preaching in the open fields. He was so good at it that people would arrive at dawn just so they could get a good place to hear him preach at noon. “For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason for boasting because I am compelled to do this. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel.” (1 Corinthians 9:16) Look for an opportunity today to share the gospel. The fields are ripe to harvest.
