Slave to Christ

John Newton marched to the beat of the world’s drum for the first 22 years of his life as a slave trader. Then on May 10, 1748 during a storm at sea, he heard a new song as he trusted Christ to save him. “He gave me reason to sing a new song, praising our God. May many see what God has done, so that they might swear allegiance to him and trust in the LORD!” (Psalm 40:3) Newton spent the rest of his life as a slave of Christ, trusting Him, singing of his love and of his amazing grace. Trust the Lord today to put his song in your heart. To set you free to be his slave.
