Solo Drive

It was a special feeling when your boy was born. And when you handed him his first baseball bat, or his first football. Yeah. But there’s no feeling quite like the feeling when you hand over your car keys to your teenager for his first solo drive. It’s sort of a cross between fear and pride and…well…fear. But there’s something else too. There’s trust. A little in the kid. A lot in the Lord. “Those who are loyal to you trust in you, for you, LORD, do not abandon those who seek your help.” (Psalm 9:10) Trust the Lord. He’s the best insurance you could have.
