Spending Foolishly

Folks in Hollywood who have a lot of money seem to live on a different planet. Actor George Raft earned and spent about ten million dollars in the course of his career. How could anyone squander that kind of fortune, especially during the years of the Great Depression? Raft explains, “Part of the loot went for gambling, part for horses, and part for women. The rest I spent foolishly.” Prov. 17:16 – “Of what use is money in the hand of a fool, since he has no intention of acquiring wisdom? Ask God for wisdom. It’s free and it will help you spend your money wisely – on this planet.
