My son Gabe was about three years old when I took him with me to share the gospel with folks in a poor neighborhood. We walked past a family gathered out on the porch of their home. I said something to Gabe. When he didn’t respond I turned around and saw him, half a block back, sitting on the sidewalk, taking off his shoes. One of the family’s toddlers was standing barefoot beside Gabe, waiting. “Dear friend, you demonstrate faithfulness by whatever you do for the brothers (even though they are strangers).” (3 John 5) How can you put some shoe leather on your faithfulness today?
