Christopher Reeve played Superman in the movies. Sad to say, he passed away not long ago, following a 1994 spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. How ironic that the man of steel, the one who could leap tall buildings at a single bound on screen would die from a fall of fewer than eight feet. We are all so fragile. And like a good friend of mine says, “We’re all terminal. It’s just a matter of how long we’ve got.” Ps. 144:4: “People are like a vapor, their days like a shadow that disappears.” Thank the Lord for today. It’s a gift. Make it count for the Him.
