Talk of Many Things

As he lured a bed of oysters onto the beach for a meal, the Walrus engaged them in idle speculation: “The time has come, the walrus said, To talk of many things; Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, Of cabbages and kings; And why the sea is boiling hot – And whether pigs have wings.” Paul had to contend with his own walruses in Athens: “All the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there used to spend their time in nothing else than telling or listening to something new.” (Acts 17:21) Watch out for the walruses. The gospel of Christ isn’t just another idea. It’s the main idea. (Speaker Disclaimer)
