The Lord Provides
One thing you learn growing up in south Texas is that it rarely rains enough. It takes roughly a hundred pounds of rainwater to produce one pound of food from the earth. That means about fifteen tons of water must pass through the roots of an acre of corn before you could harvest a single bushel. “You visit the earth and give it rain; you make it rich and fertile with overflowing streams full of water. You provide grain for them, for you prepare the earth to yield its croPsalm” (Psalm 65:9) Whatever seeds, dreams, or hopes you may have planted by faith, ask God for his rain to make them grow.
