The Unintentional Sermon
Spurgeon preached at least one unintentional sermon. He was testing the acoustics in the great Agricultural Hall. Into the empty auditorium he shouted, “Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.” One of the workers in the church, perched high in the rafters heard the words and became a Christian as a result. “In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend.” (Isaiah 55:11) Be careful. You may be preaching an unintentional sermon right now.
