While There is Time

The older we get, the more time it takes in front of the mirror to keep up the illusion of youth. But we’re fighting a losing battle. In Sonnet 77, Shakespeare reminds us of the impermanence of beauty: “Thy glass will show thee how thy beauties wear, Thy dial how thy precious minutes waste.” (Psa. 90:12) “So teach us to consider our mortality, so that we might live wisely.” Each day is a gift from God, and each line in your face reminds us of His loyal love in preserving you for his glory. What will you do today to show off His beauty to the world…while there’s still time?
