Entering Student Orientation
This event is held in the fall and the spring for students who enter during these two semesters. Once you are accepted as a student you will receive information about attending this event. RSVP is required for lunch and childcare.
Orientation helps entering students adjust to the Seminary by providing necessary information about the many facets of seminary life and course work. This time also allows new students to get to know one another and faculty members. Students should attend the Entering Student Orientation held just prior to the semester in which they enter. Students entering in the summer should attend the fall orientation.
Orientation topics will include:
- Financing Your Seminary Education
- Security Tips
- Cultural Diversity
- Student Life and Integrity
- Academic Issues
- Registration
One mandatory test is administered during orientation. The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) assists Student Services and Counseling Services in assessing whether some may have personal struggles that, if not addressed, could be detrimental to their future ministries.
Other mandatory requirements can be found through campus net on your Entering Student Checklist. (Look under "News and Information.")
