Student Thank You Messages (2014)

"I want to thank you and the Members of the Dallas Theological Seminary President’s Council for providing the very lovely and generous Christmas baskets. The basket will definitely enable me to better enjoy the holiday with my loved ones.

I so appreciate your efforts and wishes to make sure the students have a Merry Christmas.

I do not have children, but I also want to thank you for making it a special day for the children of the Seminary. Their joy is contagious and it means a lot to us that you made all the special arrangements to make it a special season for them as well. All of the blessings bring to mind the love of God and His great gift, our Savior Jesus Christ.

I would like to thank the Council for all the ways you touch our lives. You are dear to us and we both cherish and champion you. May the Lord bless you and your families during this holiday season and grant you His favor, grace, mercies, peace and love throughout the New Year."

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the generous Christmas turkey basket! When I got home and looked at everything that was included – plus the gift cards – I was so moved I nearly cried. This is my last year at DTS, and as I get closer to finishing my MA in Biblical Exegesis and Linguistics, the realities of life following God’s calling on me to be a Bible translator for least-reached people is hitting more and more.

I’ve been on a tight budget for Christmas, and your gift was a tangible reminder that God loves me and sees me – He not only provides for my needs, but uses total strangers like you (fellow members of the body of Christ) to give me the delights of my heart. I’m overjoyed to be able to cook Christmas dinner for family, and treat myself and others more, too.

I pray God fills your own Christmas celebration with tons of love and joy. May He bring you many blessings in 2015."
