Description and Requirements of the Washington Hall Scholarship

  1. The Washington Hall Scholarship is awarded to a select number of first semester, single, full-time, Th.M. students who take on-campus courses at the Dallas campus. This scholarship is awarded based on scholastic achievements and ministry potential as determined by the Seminary’s Admissions Committee.
  2. The Washington Hall Scholarship reduces a students’ full-time tuition and housing bill for their first Fall and Spring semester to $5,000 per semester.
  3. To qualify for the Washington Hall Scholarship, the student must meet the following requirements:
    • Recipients must be single and agree to live in Washington Hall from approximately August 15 through May 15. (Exact move-in, move-out and transfer dates will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis.)
    • Recipients must agree to living with a roommate who is assigned by the housing office and has also been awarded a Washington Hall Scholarship.
    • The student must complete a full-time (12 or more hours) course load per Fall and Spring semester. (Students taking more than 16 hours will incur additional tuition cost.)
    • The student must be classified as a full-time ThM student taking a minimum of 9 credit hours of in-class courses at the Dallas campus.
    • To avoid liability issues, the student will pay their monthly rent and tuition up to $5,000 per semester.
    • The student will be responsible for the rent deposit.
    • The student will need indicate to the Admissions Office agreement with the requirements and acceptance of scholarship.
  4. The Washington Hall Scholarship is only available for the first two semesters of on-campus coursework.
  5. If a student postpones entry or withdraws from classes to fall below the 12 hour threshold, he or she will forfeit the scholarship award.
  6. The Washington Hall Scholarship cannot be used for summer school or wintersession classes. It is only applicable to the fall and spring semesters.
  7. The Washington Hall Scholarship will be credited to the student’s account at the time of registration and will be applied toward tuition expenses. The Washington Hall Scholarship will not apply toward non-tuition or room charges i.e. book purchases, etc.
