Hi! So glad you are interested in DTS! My job is to help process documents that are part of the applications. If you have any questions about the application process, feel free to call us! I really enjoy the encouraging work environment. Speaking as an employee, you can truly tell the Holy Spirit is doing work here. I have felt welcome since my first day, and I know this hospitality translates to the students and prospective students.

Thanks for checking out our website and for you interest in DTS! Hope to see you during a campus visit soon!

What are your hobbies or outside interests?
Spending time in God’s Word, arts and crafts, journaling, SciFi/fantasy books and shows, math, learning.

What made you decide to go to DTS?
I was about to venture into a full-time career teaching high school math, but the Lord let me know that wasn’t what He had planned for me at this moment. I say I stumbled upon this job, but I now know that the Lord meant for me to be here. I feel so blessed to work with such amazing and encouraging people!

What do you do on your day off?
I enjoy hanging out with my roommates and friends. A combination of food and Netflix is always fun. I am also learning the art of reading at a coffee shop with friends. I love playing with my black lab, Kobe. Even though he’s 90 pounds, he is still my little puppy.

What are your favorite foods?
I really like Tex-Mex and pretty much any kind of dessert.

What is your favorite television show of all time?
This is an EXTREMELY hard question. I would have to say House and Eureka.

What is the best part about working in the DTS admissions office?
The best part is working with amazing people and getting to hear how God is working in the lives of our applicants.

What is your favorite piece of literature?
I would say Harry Potter, because reading used to be challenging for me, and that series helped me learn to enjoy reading.

What is your favorite musical artist/group/genre of music?
I like listening to Christian music most of the time. My favorite songs tend to be ones with resonating lyrics. Right now, I really like NF’s I’ll Keep On. My favorite song to sing in church is In Christ Alone. During work I listen to the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack, the Cinderella soundtrack, and All Songs and Daughters.

Who is the person you admire most and why?
I have many people whom I admire, and I can’t just narrow it down to one. I admire people whom you can see Christ in through their love for others.

Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
Peter is my favorite, because he reminds me that even if there are times when we mess up or doubt it’s still possible to have times when we can “walk on water.”

If you could have superhero powers, what would they be?
To be able to read really fast.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I love living in DFW; I don’t think I’ll ever be moving…God willing.
