Howdy! Thanks for stopping by and visiting our Teams Admission page. It would be my pleasure to talk with you and answer any questions you have about pursuing a degree at DTS. As a recent graduate, I understand the excitement of getting that diploma, the uncertainties, the fears, the looming question “will I ever finish???” and everything else that comes along this incredible journey. If the Lord is tugging at your heart for you to further your education, please do not hesitate to call our team. We are here for you!

As I reflect back on my time at DTS, a lot of great memories come to mind. The one thing I will never forget was watching how the leadership of this highly-regarded and respected institution daily leads out of authenticity, humility, love, and dependence on the Lord. DTS’s mission to “Teach Truth. Love Well.” is infused in every facet, whether it is in maintaining the grounds, teaching a class, taking a phone call, or sipping coffee as you chat about life with a group of friends at HOPE Coffee (which by the way has amazing lattes!). The men and women at DTS truly care for one another.

Attending DTS and receiving my degree in Christian Leadership has been one of the greatest accomplishments in my life. It took me longer than the estimated two years to finish seminary since I was working full-time in vocational ministry and could only attend school part-time. The Lord used DTS to challenge my thinking, transform my spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ, give me opportunities to cultivate life-long friendships, and remind me the importance of loving God and loving others. If I can do it, I know without a doubt you can too!

What are your hobbies or outside interests?
I enjoy anything you can do outdoors while being physically active. I love hiking in the mountains, white water rafting, repelling or cliff jumping off the side of a mountain, ballroom dancing, Zumba, etc. When I need a moment of down time, you can find me sitting at a local coffee shop sipping on some hot tea chatting away with friends or reading a good mystery book.

What made you decide to go to DTS?
I grew up hearing about DTS in my home church and when the Lord moved me into vocational ministry, I quickly learned I needed better training and tools in my ministry belt!

What do you do on your day off?
Sleep, drink chai tea lattes and eat candy. Anything with caramel melts my heart.

What are your favorite foods?
Oooh…. Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, Hamburgers, and the list goes on. I’m not a fan of asparagus, mushrooms and onions (unless the onions are saturated in batter that’s been deep fried).

What is your favorite movie of all time?
I have to choose only one?! Totally not fair to my second and third and fourth and fifth place contenders. Since I can’t just choose one, I will say I love classic movies...musicals, Hitchcock, black & white movies, etc.

What is the best part about working in the DTS admissions office?
Being a part of an amazing team helping others join the DTS family.

What is your favorite piece of literature?
I love a good mystery. I especially enjoy books written by Mary Higgins Clark.

What is your favorite quote?
Wow…way too many to list! I recently saw a quote in a store that said, “Lord, keep an arm around my shoulder and a hand over my mouth.” Love it!

What is your favorite musical artist/group/genre of music?
I am an old soul at heart. I love jazz-Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, etc.

Who is the person you admire most and why?
My mother. She is a bundle of energy, always helping others any time and any place, and loves the Lord.

Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
Moses! I am in awe of how he led thousands of grumbling people across a desert.

If you could have superhero powers, what would they be?
I’d like to be instantly transported so I do not have to drive in traffic.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
The mountains are my happy place!
