Welcome to the Team Admissions page! Part of my role is ensuring your application process goes as smoothly as possible behind the scenes. If you ever have any questions, please let me know! I would love to help you in any way that I can as you apply.

I love that DTS is just one big family. Everyone I have come in contact with, no matter their position, cares so much about you as a person. They want to know how you are doing, how they can make you feel most at home, and how they can be praying for you. It has been such a refreshing environment to be a part of.

Moving to a new city for school is definitely a big transition. With all the anxieties that come with transitions I keep reminding myself of God’s truths. Matthew 6:25-34 has been such a source of peace for me. God really does give us a peace when we give all of our thoughts and worries to Him. It is the peace that is talked about in Philippians 4:6-7—a peace that surpasses all understanding. Whatever your worry: about what school to go to, where you are going to live, where you are going to work, or even how you are going to afford to eat, the Lord tells us that He has it under control. Trust God with your plans and He will lead you where you need to be!

What are your hobbies or outside interests?
I love to play soccer in big groups whenever I get the chance. I am also always up for tackling DIY projects or trying new recipes.

What made you decide to go to DTS?
My husband and I moved to Dallas for him to pursue the ThM.

What do you do on your day off?
I try to get outside and enjoy nature if I can. Living in a city has made me miss the great outdoors!

What are your favorite foods?
I totally have a salty tooth. I love some good ole’ Tex Mex, and especially movie theatre popcorn. I also love watermelon – if I’m not careful, I can easily eat way too much.

What is your favorite television show of all time?
Chuck is one of my favorite ones. If I just want a show to watch to kill some time I am always up for Gilmore Girls.

What is the best part about working in the DTS admissions office?
I love being in contact with prospective students. Their testimonies remind me how awesome our God is, and their excitement reminds me to never forget what a blessing it is to be a part of DTS.

What is your favorite quote?
“Do small things with great love” – Mother Theresa

What is your favorite musical artist/group/genre of music?
I really love Ellie Holcomb, Needtobreathe, The Head and the Heart, and The Lumineers.

Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
Daniel. He is a man of faith who didn’t waver in his belief and trust in God. He was a man of integrity and just a great role model of how to live a righteous life.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Anywhere that I could be close to all my family. I truly believe it is not necessarily where you live but who you surround yourself with that makes life fun!
